Principal & CEO
With over 15 years of experience as a human factors and usability specialist in the medical device and combination product industry, he has a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams. His leadership extends through the design and development phases of user interfaces for a diverse array of medical devices. These include invasive drug delivery systems, robotic systems, non-invasive on-body sensors, ventilators, infusion pumps, in-vitro diagnostics, ultrasound equipment, and software applications tailored for various medical conditions. His technical proficiency covers the entire spectrum of human factors activities, encompassing design, research, and development across all phases of medical product innovation.
Jesse Rutherford
Senior Technical Writer
Jesse Rutherford is our team’s Senior Technical Writer, bringing over 10 years of experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and diagnostic instruments. She has led content design for technical manuals, instructional materials, and marketing collateral for a wide range of FDA-regulated products. Jesse brings a diverse skill set that provides a unique perspective and thoughtful communication style. Her strengths in research, combined with her understanding of psychology, help us communicate complex information clearly and effectively to a wide range of users.

Luis is an accomplished Human Factors and Ergonomics professional with expertise in understanding how people interact with technology, products, and environments. He brings a thoughtful, research-driven approach to complex user experience challenges, translating human factors insights into practical design improvements. Skilled in human factors assessment, Luis uncovers meaningful insights that inform product strategy, enhance usability, and support evidence-based design decisions. Luis holds a Master's in Human Factors from California State University, Long Beach.
Brittney Abundis
Human Factors Engineer
Brittney is an experimental research professional completing her Master’s in Psychological Sciences at California State University San Marcos, where her work focuses on evaluating evidence-based practices. Her research experience includes qualitative and quantitative methods, experimental design, systems evaluation, and statistical analysis. She has also supported FDA-guided formative and summative studies and HF assessments. Brittney has expertise in conducting rigorous research and translating findings to optimize the fit between users and products.
